The year 2023 marked a significant milestone as it commemorated eighteen fruitful years since the inception of the Voice Clinic, a distinguished facility within our institute. Dr. A. Anita Reddy initiated the Voice Clinic, which commenced its operations in March 2005.

Aim and Objectives: The primary aim of the Voice Clinic is to safeguard, restore, and enhance the voices of professional voice users. Its objectives revolve around the assessment and treatment of individuals grappling with voice disorders, ranging from vocal nodules and polyps to vocal fold paralysis. Comprising a dedicated team of professionals, including Speech Language Pathologists and ENT surgeons, the clinic is committed to voice rehabilitation.

Dr. A. Anita Reddy, a seasoned Speech Language Pathologist specialised in voice disorder assessment and treatment, alongside Dr. Sankarshana, a proficient Phonosurgeon, constituted the pioneering team. Subsequently, additional ENT doctors joined the endeavour, fostering insightful discussions on various treatment modalities.

Over the years, the clinic has witnessed a substantial increase in patient influx, catering to a diverse clientele of professional voice users spanning from educators, politicians, and street vendors to call centre personnel, performers, and homemakers. Voice disorders stemming from abuse, misuse, neurological conditions, endocrine imbalances, psychological factors, structural abnormalities, and laryngeal ailments such as cancer, granulomas, and human papillomavirus have been addressed comprehensively. Both children and adults have reaped the benefits of this specialised facility.

Looking ahead, our aspiration is to further expand our reach and impact by raising awareness among the general populace. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the medical professionals in Bangalore and South India for their invaluable contributions and referrals, and we eagerly anticipate continued collaboration with them.
