Once the patient is identified with a particular balance disorder, the appropriate management is given. Head repositioning manoeuvres, VOR gain exercises, habilitation and substitution exercises are some of the management strategies suggested to the patient. The management given is specific for each vestibular disorder. The patient may have to come for few sessions of rehabilitation until the problem is completely resolved. Further exercises to strengthen the balance system is given by the Audiologist and is advised to practice at home. Appropriate referrals to Neurologists and ENT doctors are also given, if found necessary.
