Library And Information Centre
The Institute has a well-equipped library with a vast collection of national and international publications, books and journals in the field. There are several computers with internet access available at the Information centre. Students are strongly encouraged to use both the extensive library and computer resources available. Library and technical staff assist students in operating these systems.

i. Reference Service
The second floor of college building has an exclusive library section and open from 8.30 am to 8.00 pm on all working days. One or two copies of all the new titles added to the library collection are also stacked in reference section and are marked with a seal as reference only on due date slip.
ii. New Book Alerts:
New Book Alerts service is available in our Dr.SRCISH Library to inform the users of the recent titles added to its library collections. Under this service, new book titles which are added to the library collections will be displayed the “New Arrivals” rack in the Stock and reference section of the library.
iii. Institutional Membership:
The Library has institutional membership with the following organizations for accessing their resources and services.
- Thieme Publication
- N-List (Inflibnet)
- Polia Phoniatrica (IALP Membership)
iv. Internet Service:
The library is completely Wi-Fi enabled with adequate number of computers. Users can use their own laptops to access our subscribed e-resources.
v. Print Journals and E – Resources:
For the current year the library has subscribed to 5 printed journals and Subscribed to Thieme Publication and N-List.
vi. Electronic Surveillance:
As a security measure four CCTV cameras have been installed in the library premises. System Used:
- Classification – Dewy Decimal Classification (DDC)
- Cataloguing – Anglo American Cataloguing Rules (AACR 2)

General Instructions
- Every reader/user shall present his/her identity card while entering the library or on demand by the Library staff.
- Every reader/user entering the library should deposit their belonging at the property counter.
- Sign the register kept at the checkpoint, while entering the library.
- Show the documents, which are being taken out of the library, to the staff at the checkpoint.
- Book lost by the borrower have to be reported immediately in writing to the librarian, falling which fines will keep on accumulating,
- PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR WAIVER OF FINES. Replace the book within the time Permitted.
- Loss of borrower’s card has to be reported immediately in writing.
- Each borrower is responsible for the book issued on that card, so a borrower is requested not to lend his card to others. Collect your library card without fail after returning the book from the circulation counter.
- No due certificate will be issued at the end of Academic year.
- Change of Department, Status, Address etc., to be informed and the card corrected.
- Book should be handled with great care and mutilation of book in any manner will be heavily fined.
- Keep the library clean.
- Loud talking, conversations, etc, are strictly prohibited in the library.
- Use of Mobiles within the library premises is strictly prohibited and penalty of Rs.100/- will be charged if mobile is carried inside the library without switching off.
- Use the dustbins provided in the reading area.
