The course provides training for students to become special teachers/educators of hearing impaired/deaf children, at integrated or special schools. This course is recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India [RCI] and is conducted in technical collaboration with Ali Yavar Jung National Institute for Hearing Handicapped, Mumbai.
Duration - 2 years (annual scheme)
Intake - 20 seats ( Reservation as per Government rules)
Admission Eligibility:

Candidates must have passed 12th standard/PUC/Pre-Degree in any subject from any recognized state or central board.

Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (for general) and 40% (for SC/ST).

Candidates should be above 17 years of age at the time of admission.
Mode of Selection:

The selection will be based on merit i.e., marks obtained by the candidates in their subjects, combined with results of interviews held by the Institute faculty.

Preference will be given to candidates already working in special schools/ NGO establishments and sponsored by employer.

Preference will be given to candidates with higher educational qualifications.
